Tooth Colored Fillings

Tooth colored fillings also called composite resins can provide a decent durability and resistance to fracture teeth in small to midsize fillings that undergo constant stress of chewing . These white fillings can be used in the back or front of the mouth .

Best choice for those who like their teeth to look natural.

In general, it takes much longer to place a composite white filling than an amalgam. That is because these bonded fillings require a dry field while the cavity is being filled. Due to cosmetics, these fillings are being used more than gold or amalgam fillings.

Following preparation of the tooth, A dentist places the composite in small incremental layers, typically using a light specialized to harden each layer, called ultraviolet light. When the filling is finished, the dentist will shape and polish the composite to fit the tooth.

At My Tehran Dentist we only use the 3M composites from United States and a few other brands from Denmark and Sweden.
