Sensitive Tooth

Sensitive teeth are not a pleasant feeling. Both cold and hot food drinks as well as sugary sweets can hurt our teeth making our pearly white teeth throbbing. An experience no one wishes to have!

Sensitive Tooth
Mostly sensitive teeth have either a problem with the enamel or the root surface, that is worn off. This gives access to the dentin ( the inner layer of our teeth ) which is full of tiny tubes ( dental tubule ) with extremely sensitive nerve endings which run through this dental tubule.

Some toothpaste like Pronamel and Sensodyne are designed to help people with teeth sensitivity. These toothpaste have a higher ratio of Fluoride which makes teeth less sensitive. It is difficult to find Original Sensodyne Toothpaste in the Iranian market these days but Pronamel toothpaste is from the same manufacturer and has the same amount of fluor in it. A pea size amount of toothpaste is enough each time.

Another toothpaste containing potassium nitrate also helps since it does block those so called tiny tubules in the dentin. The trick with both flour and potassium toothpaste is to use them for many weeks before they help your sensitivity problem with the teeth.
